Throughout these Terms and Conditions, Son of a Tailor ApS (“Son of a Tailor”, “we”, “us” or “our”) shall be referred to as “the company”, while the company’s customers shall be referred to as “the customer” (“you”, “your”). The Terms and Conditions apply to any transaction between the company and the customer, whether made online or at one of the company’s physical locations (“Showroom”, “Studio”, “Pop-up store”).
While we strive to use only the highest-quality photography to represent our products in the most accurate and realistic way in terms of color rendition, we cannot guarantee that the products you receive will look exactly like what you see on your computer screen due to the fact that different device screens reproduce colors with vast variations and amount of detail.
By placing an order on our website, you are giving consent that you are over the age of 18. If you are under 18 you must let your parents or legal guardian know about our terms and conditions before using this website and placing an order. We reserve the right to accept orders only from those over 18 years.
Payment is taken at the time of purchase. We use Adyen N.V. to process MobilePay payments, Paypal to process Paypal payments and Stripe to process all other payments. We accept most major payment methods through Stripe, including but not limited to Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Visa/Dankort, IDEAL, Cartebancaire, PayPal, etc. For a full list of options please refer to: https://stripe.com/docs/payments/payment-methods/overview.
We do not store any debit/credit card information. Payment Card information is sent directly to one of the three payment provider listed above via a secure connection (SSL). The information is approved or refused by the bank and forwarded to Adyen, Paypal or Stripe. Adyen, Paypal or Stripe will deduct the amount from the credit/debit card on behalf of Son of a Tailor instantly. You can read more about security here:
Following currencies are used for transactions on our website: DKK, EUR, GBP, USD, CAD, CHF, SEK, SGD, AUD. Which of the nine currencies your shopping cart will be displayed in depends on your geographic location and is determined automatically. The customer cannot choose the currency and shall be responsible for any currency adjustment, conversion and/or fee charged by their financial institution or payment processor when making a payment.
All prices on our website are incl. VAT for all EU customers (and customers in Canada, Norway and Switzerland). For all non-EU customers, all prices are excluding VAT.
Son of a Tailor offers a quantity discount (10% for 2-3 pieces; 20% for 4+ pieces) that is applied automatically at checkout. The discount is based solely on the number of items in your basket, which means that you can mix products of various styles and colors in the same order.
None of the occasional promotional codes may be combined with each other or with the quantity discount. Son of a Tailor does not apply discounts retroactively. Should the customer fail to apply a promotional code, they can contact customer support within 2 days of submitting the order and expect store credit for future use equal to the amount of the discount.
Promotional codes may not be applied to an order paid for with a gift card.
To place your order, you need to create a size by providing your body measurement details and shipping information. After placing an order, we will create a profile for your saved sizes and order history that you can use to track your order status, engage with customer support and reuse sizes for new orders. We only store order related information in the profile. All provided information should be true, accurate, current and complete in all respects. The personal information you enter during a purchase is used solely for order processing and promotion purposes; it will only be disclosed to the third parties directly involved in the production of your order or promotion. In addition to personal information we also log IP addresses and any referral links. This information is used solely for statistical purposes and to investigate cases involving abuse / fraud. All personal information is stored for up to 5 years after the financial year when the order was placed, in accordance with the Danish Bookkeeping Act, and in order to facilitate a renewed trade and for the investigation of fraud. Son of a Tailor reserves the right to accept, refuse, cancel or hold any order you place with us. Once we’ve received your order, you’ll receive an order confirmation email that indicates the order number and contains information about the details of your order.
By submitting an order, the customer accepts full responsibility for having checked that all the styling options of the chosen product/s AND the size are correct. Every submitted order shall be considered final. As our products are custom-made, we cannot accept any changes after an order has been submitted. In exceptional cases and at the sole discretion of the company, a change may be applied to a submitted order if requested within a few hours of its placement.
Under the Danish Consumer Contracts Act § 17, you can cancel your order before we have started the production of your ordered garments. In such a case the customer will receive a full refund. By submitting an order you agree to the start of the production of your order, whereby the right of withdrawal cannot subsequently be used.
N.B.: First-time customers placing an order of 4+ items will see their order being split into two with a test shirt produced first to make sure that the ordered fit is the correct one. Because of longer lead times to complete such orders, it may happen that one or more of the originally ordered colors is sold out, in which case we will replace it with a currently available color in consultation with the customer.
All Son of a Tailor products are made to order. This means that we start producing once you have placed your order, creating a zero-overproduction process.
Our products vary in complexity, hence they have different production times. You can see the current estimated production time for all our products below as well as during the ordering process before you check out. Please note that this does not include the shipping time which varies depending on the shipping provider and typically lies between 1 and 4 days. Unforeseen acts of nature beyond our control, force majeure or problems of the delivering company may cause a delay, for which Son of a Tailor may not be held responsible. While we aim at completing the absolute majority of orders within the timeframe below, the provided timeline is only an estimate for your reference and cannot be guaranteed.
We ship worldwide with DHL Express. In exceptional cases, we might use other courier services than the ones stated if that is the only viable solution. Once the order is shipped, the customer will receive an email notification with a tracking number for the package.
All orders are shipped from the European Union which means that no import fees apply for customers with delivery addresses in the EU.
Customers in the United Kingdom (UK), Canada, and Switzerland normally should not incur any customs-related fees. In case this does occur, we kindly ask you to inform our customer service via the website chat.
For customers in Norway we are registered for VOEC meaning that customers will not incur any customs-related fees for orders below 3.000 NOK. For orders above 3.000 NOK the customer will be liable for paying customs-related fees.
Standard sizes - purchased online:
If you have purchased our products in a standard size not personalized with initials and without any edits to the size you can withdraw from your purchase within 14 days. The deadline expires 14 days from the day when you or another person designated by you (not the carrier) receives the product (physical possession).
In order to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your intention to do so in an unambiguous statement by email to support@sonofatailor.com
If you exercise your right of withdrawal, we will refund your payment without undue delay and in any case at the latest 14 days after the date when we have received your withdrawal request. We will refund your payment using the same payment method you used for your purchase unless you have explicitly accepted another form of refund (e.g. a credit voucher). If you have bought several products and, thus, received a bulk discount and only withdraw from a part of your purchase, we will adjust the discount in line with the number of items you keep. Should this discount be lower than the one initially granted, we will deduct the difference from your refund.
You must return the product(s) to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date when you have notified us that you want to exercise your right of withdrawal. Costs associated with returning the item(s) are to be covered by you. Our customer support team can provide you with a printable return label upon request and the cost of the return shipping will then be deducted from your refund. We may withhold your refund until we have received the product or you have provided proof of your return of the product(s) - whichever is the earliest.

Standard sizes bought in our store can be returned or exchanged for a different size at the store within 14 days. Please ensure the garment is unworn with the tag attached and bring the original receipt.
If you have bought several products and, thus, received a bulk discount and only withdraw from a part of your purchase, we will adjust the discount in line with the number of items you keep. Should this discount be lower than the one initially granted, we will deduct the difference from your refund.
Custom sizes - Purchased online or in-store:
In accordance with Danish law under the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (Forbrugeraftalelovens), the consumer has, as a general rule, a right of withdrawal, cf. (§ 18). According to (§ 18, 3 p.), however, the main rule does not apply to goods that are specially produced after the specification of the consumer and which due to their nature cannot be returned
Our custom-sized products or products with initials cannot be resold. Therefore, we do not provide full returns. We do, however, offer a full exchange service if the delivered product doesn’t match the ordered styling specifications (color, fabric, neck style, etc.). We reserve the right to request the return of product(s) and provide a return label, if necessary. Son of a Tailor cannot take any responsibility for the correctness of the measurements submitted by the customer. The return of a product based on fabric or styling preference is not possible.
Each customer shopping with Son of a Tailor is covered by the Free Remake Guarantee. The guarantee is offered once per product type (T-shirt, polo, sweatshirt, etc.) and can be only used once in the same product category. Should the garment’s fit not meet the customer’s expectations, we shall adjust the measurements and issue a replacement free of charge. Any potential subsequent replacements of the same product type are at the sole discretion of the company. In case a customer already has used the guarantee once for a specific type of product yet wishes to make further adjustments to the size, they are encouraged to contact our customer support for fit/ sizing advice. Nonetheless, if after completing the Free Remake Guarantee, the customer decides to make further alterations in the size due to changes in the body dimensions, size or style preferences, the customer will not be eligible to use the Free Remake Guarantee again.
In order to be eligible for a replacement, the customer shall contact our customer support within 2 months of receiving the garment and follow the instructions listed on the customer’s profile under the tab Guarantee. The customer may be asked to measure the received garment and share that information with our support team.
Because some colors/models are seasonal/special editions, Son of a Tailor does not guarantee that the replacement will be in the same color/style.
In case a garment has been produced with a fabrication defect or with large deviations (more than 1.5cm per measurement), we will, by agreement with the customer, replace the garment. The customer will be asked to measure the received garment and send photos showing the defect/deviations. The customer shall reach out to the customer support team within 2 months of receiving their order.
Son of a Tailor will not accept return claims on the basis of sweat stains or discoloration.

The risk of goods purchased from Son of a Tailor ApS is transferred to you as a consumer at time of delivery. Risk passes therefore from Son of a Tailor ApS to the customer as soon as the customer has received the package (as written in Danish Sale of Goods Act § 73).
