Extra Heavy Cotton T-Shirt
Our heaviest T-shirt with a refined yet relaxed expression: this is a true everyday favorite.
Made from 100% organic cotton, the Extra Heavy Cotton T-Shirt boasts almost double the weight of our medium-weight Cotton T-Shirt. This structured hand feel is reflected in wider ribs on the neckline and hem, resulting in a well-balanced look. At 280 g/m2, it has a sculptural drape that’s universally flattering.
Your Extra Heavy Cotton T-Shirt is made to order, made to fit, and made to last in Portugal.
All of our garments are covered by our Free Remake Guarantee: Should you not be satisfied with the fit of your first order, we’ll make you a new one, free of charge.

Choose the Extra Heavy Cotton T-Shirt if you prefer a cotton T-Shirt with a structured silhouette and a substantial feel. At 280 g/m², it has more weight and definition than the Cotton T-Shirt. If you prefer a lighter feel and more fluid drape, choose the Cotton T-Shirt in 150 g/m².
It is made from 100% long-staple organic cotton and certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100. The 280 g/m² jersey, combined with the ribbed neckline and hem, gives the T-Shirt its structured feel and clean silhouette.
Yes. Its shape comes from the dense 280 g/m² jersey and the ribbed neckline and hem, helping it retain its structure through regular wear. Wash at 40°C on a gentle cycle, avoid fabric softener, keep deep and light colors separate, and air dry for the best results.
Every garment is made only after you order it. This allows us to produce only what's needed while offering either one of 24 standard sizes or a custom size generated from a few simple details, all at the same price.
If you order a standard size, you can return it within 14 days. Custom garments are made specifically for you and can't be returned, but they're covered by our Free Remake Guarantee once per product group. If the fit isn't right on your first order, we'll remake it free of charge within 2 months.
Helping you brace the elements. The Extra Heavy Cotton T-Shirt is our most rugged and resilient tee – substantial, durable, and reassuringly weighty. It’s comfort redefined: a garment that feels structured yet easy, built to stand up to wear and movement.
The heavier jersey gives it an architectural drape that stands slightly away from the body, creating a silhouette that feels strong yet relaxed. It’s breathable enough for layering, substantial enough to wear alone.
Made from 100% organic cotton at 280 g/m² – combining long-lasting durability with a surprisingly soft hand. It holds its line and resists distortion, even after repeated use.
Every element – from neckline tension to sleeve pitch – is designed for comfort and durability. The fabric’s density naturally preserves structure without added stiffness or reinforcement.
Organic cotton makes up less than a quarter of the world’s cotton, yet it stands apart for the way it is grown and worn. Free from synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, it is softer on the planet, naturally breathable, and strong enough for everyday use in both lighter and heavier weights.
Our first fully owned factory, SON Supply represents a new chapter for Son of a Tailor – a space where craftsmanship meets control. Based in Santo Tirso, it’s where our Supima T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, and zip hoodies come to life.
Every Son of a Tailor garment is carefully inspected by hand before it leaves our production floor. Our team checks each piece for fit accuracy, finishing, and overall quality, ensuring you receive exactly what you ordered, and nothing less.
Unlike most clothing brands, we manage not only our production but also our logistics, meaning your garments travel as quickly as possible from our hands to yours.
In 2022, we established SON Supply, our own production facility in Santo Tirso, Portugal. Today, over 55% of our garments are made there, with the rest produced by a tightly knit community of trusted artisans across the country.
Whether you’re ordering your first T-shirt or you’ve been with us for years, we take the time to make sure you get exactly what you need. If something isn’t right, we fix it. Our team is easy to reach and empowered to help.
